League Prize 2024 Exhibition: Dirty

An online exhibition of work by the winners of the 2024 League Prize.

June 11, 2024—June 11, 2025

The online exhibition features original work by the six winners of the 2024 Architectural League Prize for Young Architects + Designers. In combination with their lectures and interviews, this exhibition spotlights the winners’ interpretations of the 2024 competition theme, Dirty, which asked designers, “How do you reject sanitized ways of working with built, natural, and political environments?” prompting them to look beyond their presentations of professionalism, respectability, and expertise to expose the forces that shape design practice, projects, modes of representation, and communication. The installations reflect a rich variety of responses to this prompt, as well as the broader diversity of the winners’ interests and modes of practice.

Integrating the virtual with the physical, Dirty includes both entirely digital projects and documentation of physical installations in communities across North America. The projects span a wide range of media and settings, from scale models and gallery installations to animations and video.
