Thomas Gluck is Partner at GLUCK+, which is the architect, construction manager, and co-developer of The Stack, a 7-story residential building that uses modular, off-site construction to offer “an accelerated [building] schedule and shorter financing period, turning sites that might otherwise be considered risky [to develop]…into opportunities.”

Mimi Hoang is Partner at nARCHITECTS, winner of the adAPT NYC competition to “introduce additional choices within New York City’s housing market [that] accommodate the city’s growing population of one- and two-person households.” Using modular building construction, nARCHITECTS’s proposal creates 55 new micro-units priced for low- and middle-income households “without any direct City subsidy or financing.”

Nicole Robertson is Partner at GRO Architects in New York City. Together with Richard Garber she is designing over 300,000sf of modular housing in Jersey City and Baltimore, pioneering the transformation of previously overlooked areas of these cities. Both steel/concrete and wood modular systems play a key role in these 275 units achieving dense, sustainable, and affordable design objectives while forwarding innovative spatial organization and variation across ten distinct sites which range from 22 single-family attached townhouses currently under construction at Jackson Green in the MLK Hub District of Jersey City to an 8-story mixed-use building which will anchor an 11 acre development nearby.

Alex Terzich is Design Associate at SHoP Architects, which is designing B2 at Atlantic Yards, the first of three planned residential towers built with modular construction at the Barclays Center arena and the “tallest modular building in the world.” The residential-commercial complex will contain approximately 1500 units that use “a variety of materials, colors, and fabrication techniques [to create] an intricate play of light, pattern, and texture.”
