About the Next Generation Founders Fund
The Next Generation Founders Fund is a concluded fund established by alumni of the League’s long-running Emerging Voices and League Prize program series. Over the course of its active life, the fund provided support for these two flagship League programs, which have always sought to identify and encourage the most talented emerging architects and designers in North America. The rosters of participants in Emerging Voices and The Architectural League Prize for Young Architects + Designers (formerly known as the Young Architects Forum) reveal a remarkable group portrait of creative and intellectual leadership in architecture, landscape design, and urbanism over the last several decades. Many among them are listed below in acknowledgement of their support for the Next Generation Founders Fund to ensure the lasting vitality of these competition series. Future of the Next Generation Fund
In 2025, the League rededicated the Next Generation Founders Fund with an expanded vision to support the development of architects and designers throughout their careers, both through the Emerging Voices and League Prize competitions, and through the annual Student and Mentorship Programs, which are offered in service of those aspiring to enter—and to shape—the profession.
