Beaux Arts Ball 2026: Home Sweet Home shone a light on the collective imagination and anxiety imbued in the idea of home

On Friday, October 23, 2026, The Architectural League brought Home Sweet Home to life at the Andrew Freedman Home in the Bronx.

The night unfolded across various rooms of the Andrew Freedman Home, where the Communal Bed by TAKK afforded guests an opportunity “to explore new forms of being together”; libations flowed freely; and Bojaq and Madre Guía, two Bronx-based DJs, spun unforgettable sets that carried the energy well into the night.

The Ball once again welcomed hundreds of architects, designers, artists, and friends for an evening that celebrated the creativity and connections that shape our field.

A note on Communal Bed, the Beaux Arts Ball 2026 installation.

“The installation takes the form of a collective bed, one of the most recognizable and intimate pieces of domestic furniture, and alters its usual scale, materiality, and mobility in order to explore new forms of being together, in dialogue with this year’s Beaux Arts Ball theme.”—Mireia Luzárraga and Alejandro Muiño
