Material Process is the fourth in an annual series of publications that features the best young architects as selected by The Architectural League of New York. This year, candidates were asked to examine construction, particularly new or reinvented building materials, and the means of creating buildable design through new technologies. As complex in materials as they are thought-provoking in design, the work of these varied architects—including Is.Ar Iwamoto Scott Architecture, MESH Architectures, L.E.F.T., Della Valle + Bernheimer Design, J. Meejin Moon, and Degree Zero Architecture—is both innovative and inspiring, establishing a solid material vocabulary for future architects and designers.
