145th Annual Meeting & Party
The League invites members and friends to the Brooklyn Public Library for “Drawing Together,” our 145th Annual Meeting & Party celebrating design and the public imagination.
June 16, 2026
5:30 p.m.
The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Dr. S. Stevan Dweck Cultural Center with a brief report on the past year’s activities at the League by President Nat Oppenheimer and Executive Director Jacob R. Moore. Then, representatives from the League’s Next Generation programs will highlight the many ways in which the League works to support built environment students and professionals across the many stages of their development. In particular, we’ll be celebrating Anne Rieselbach, the League’s outgoing program and membership director, whose four decades of dedication have helped shape the careers and voices of generations of architects and designers.
At 6:30 p.m., the party moves to the plaza! “Drawing Together” gathers people from different walks of life to celebrate the city we collectively dream and make. With music and dancing led by Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet, refreshments, opportunities for drawing, “Ask-an-Architect” Q&A sessions, and information sharing by NYC DOT officials regarding the proposed Grand Army Plaza redesign, the evening serves as a reminder that imagining and building the world around us is a collective, joyful endeavor.
