Abiola Sagbohan submitted thoughts on public space during the pandemic.
Sagbohan wrote:
The pandemic has led to new individual and collective experiences that have been developed in response to confinement and restricted access to indoor settings. To create opportunities for social engagement, exercise, business, and entertainment, people have informally occupied spaces such as sidewalks, streets, and parking lots. These adaptations have exposed the potential for public use of spaces beyond traditional squares and parks. When the pandemic subsides, can we continue to capitalize on these new uses of space?
