In this video, Guy Nordenson, principal of the New York structural engineering firm Guy Nordenson and Associates, offers a survey of his work.
Recognized for his independent research and innovative, collaborative work with architects, Nordenson has served as structural engineer for over 199 projects worldwide, including the Jubilee Church in Rome, the Simmons Residence Hall at MIT, the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.
For his Current Work talk, Nordenson gave a brief overview of two projects that had a profound effect on his philosophy and practice: the original World Trade Center and the The New York-based structural engineer discusses his work as part of the Current Work lecture series.. He then went on to present a number of subsequent projects, including the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Menil Collection’s Byzantine Fresco Chapel, and the Corning Museum of Glass expansions.
