The League Prize is an annual competition that has been organized by The Architectural League since 1981. Open to designers ten years or less out of school, it draws entrants from around North America.
Bryony Roberts won a 2018 award.
Bryony Roberts Studio is a New York-based design and research practice founded in 2011. Combining architecture and performance, Roberts aims to occupy, re-enact, and re-vision historically charged spaces.
Bryony Roberts received a BA from Yale University and an MArch from Princeton University. She teaches architecture and preservation at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation.
Recent projects include:
- Primo Piano, a site-specific installation at The American Academy in Rome.
- Marching On: The Politics of Performance, a research project and exhibition at Storefront for Art and Architecture, developed in collaboration with Mabel O. Wilson.
Roberts was a Rome Prize Fellow at The American Academy in Rome in 2015–2016.
