The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has launched a new element of its Buildings of Excellence competition that awards up to $250,000 for early design work on carbon-neutral multifamily buildings. The Early Design Support Request for Proposals offers support to architects for early phase design of multifamily housing projects—new construction or adaptive reuse—that will be carbon-neutral ready, resilient, support the health and comfort of occupants, and offer the possibility of replication at scale.
In this recording of the online information session, NYSERDA Project Manager Kristin Graham describes the goals of the program, eligibility, and the two-step application process.
Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis. View the full RFP description on the NYSERDA website.
