Kate Gordon on energy policy and the economic risks of climate change

As part of that symposium, Rosalie Genevro, the League’s executive director, interviewed Kate Gordon, Vice President and Director of the Climate and Energy Program at Next Generation. A nationally recognized expert on the intersection of clean energy and economic development, Gordon discussed current shifts in the policy landscape at the local, state, and national levels. Her work, in part, attempts to guide climate discussions from the environmental realm to the business sector where they might gain greater legislative traction in the United States.
Gordon is also the executive director of Risky Business, a joint initiative co-chaired by former Mayor of the City of New York Michael R. Bloomberg, former Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson, Jr., and former Senior Managing Member of Farallon Capital Management Thomas P. Steyer.
