One could argue that in New York, everyone’s an actor. So what happens when performance moves beyond the proscenium to our city streets? Every year, Urban Omnibus, The Architectural League’s online publication dedicated to defining and enriching the culture of citymaking, hosts a writing competition. This year, the competition sought to explore the changing relationship between performance, audience, and the physical city through narrative, theory, history, and humor. This volume presents the winners, selected from 64 entries from around the world.
Visit Urban Omnibus for more information about the competition and to read the winning essays.
