Co-founder and director of Droog Renny Ramakers will lead a tour of “Pioneers of Change,” a festival of Dutch design, fashion, and architecture on New York’s Governors Island, which she both conceived and curated.

A walking tour led by lifelong Bronx resident Sam Goodman of the Bronx Borough President’s Office and Deborah Marton, Executive Director of the Design Trust for Public Space, followed by a potluck and discussion.

Rafael Moneo, the project’s design architect, and members of the design and construction teams from Davis Brody Bond, architect of record; Arup, project engineers; Turner Construction Company, construction manager; and Columbia University will lead a tour and discussion of the project.

A guided tour of the Newtown Creek Nature Walk with its designer, environmental sculptor George Trakas. Presented by Urban Omnibus and WNYC.

Thom Mayne, founder and design director of Morphosis, and Jean Oei, project designer and job captain in New York, will lead a tour of Morphosis’s new Cooper Union Academic Building.

Group Tour | P.E. Guerin is the oldest decorative hardware firm in the United States, and the only metal foundry in New York City. The company was started in 1857 by French immigrant Pierre Emmanuel Guerin and has been at its current location on Jane Street in Greenwich Village since 1892.

Charles Renfro, Mark Holden, Peter Rosenbaum, introduced by Reynold Levy | Renfro, principal of Diller Scofidio + Renfro, will lead a tour of the newly redesigned Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. Holden, principal of JaffeHolden Acoustics, and Rosenbaum, of Fischer Dachs Theater Designers, will provide additional commentary.
