Events » New York Designs
New York is a city of great and often overlooked projects at many scales from renovated interiors to major new buildings. The Architectural League created New York Designs to provide a forum for the presentation of innovative and accomplished built work in New York City. From 2003-2009, New York Designs was structured around a yearly theme, developed by a committee that also served as the program’s jury. Selected projects were presented during an annual lecture series. For a list of formerly recognized projects, click here.
Beginning in April 2010, New York Designs has been reconfigured as an ongoing multi-platform series designed to explore projects with their architects. Projects are selected for quality and interest by a committee of architects and designers working with League staff. Projects of any scale, site, or program, completed or under construction within the five boroughs are eligible. The League invites all to submit projects for consideration.
