The Architectural League’s Emerging Voices program annually spotlights North American architects, landscape architects, and urban designers who have significant bodies of realized work and the potential to influence their field.

Cesar Guerrero and Ana Cecilia Garza of S-AR are 2016 winners of the award.

Cesar Guerrero, Ana Cecilia Garza, and Carlos Flores established S-AR in 2006, and Maria Sevilla joined in 2008.

Guerrero, Flores, and Sevilla have all taught at the School of Architecture at ITESM (Monterrey Institute of Technology).

S-AR’s work focuses on “the design and development of architectural projects of several scales and typologies from private, experimental, and social structures to architectural installations, educational buildings as well as furniture and book design.”

Recent projects include the Concrete House residence, the Wood House residence, and the Desert Observatory, all located in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
