First Friday
HOK

Join HOK at its office for drinks, informal conversation, and a behind-the-scenes look at recent and upcoming projects. This program is part of First Friday, a monthly opportunity for League members to visit the offices of leading design practices to see work on the boards and learn more about the offices’ organization and design processes. These informal social gatherings feature happy hour drinks arranged by the host office.

Founded in 1955, HOK is a design, architecture, engineering, and planning firm with a network of 25 offices worldwide. According to HOK, the firm “solves the challenges of environments around the world through the exploration and analysis of site, purpose, and form,” and the firm incorporates advanced technology and sustainable design into its vast portfolio of large-scale building and infrastructure projects. Recent recognition includes numerous awards from AIA local and state chapters, the International Interior Design Association, the USGBC, and the Urban Land Institute.

Recent projects include Singapore Chancery, New York; the Waldorf Astoria New York Entry Renovation, New York; the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC), Anaheim; and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Daniel K. Inouye Regional Center, Pearl Harbor. Upcoming projects include the LG North America Corporate Headquarters, Englewood Cliffs, NJ; State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; and a residential development at 86th and Lexington, New York.
