“It is news to delight not only the confirmed gallery visitor but the New York public in general that the Architectural League is to hold its Spring exhibition in the Metropolitan Museum. For a time the League was uncertain and disturbed. It met the disaster of last year, when its exhibition was destroyed by fire at the moment of opening, with gay courage and immediate and active preparation for the future. There were few exhibition places of sufficient size and convenience. The Metropolitan Museum has come to the rescue in a completely sympathetic and helpful spirit…in offering the new wing at the southern end of the Museum building for the League’s annual exhibition.” The New York Times, December 1, 1920
