LMCC’s “Access Restricted”

The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council just announced its 2010 Access Restricted lecture series, a “free nomadic lecture series that opens rarely visited and often prohibited spaces in Manhattan” for “site-specific lecture[s] and discussion[s] addressing a range of topics revolving around issues of architectural history and preservation, social justice, and urban development.”  The theme for this year’s series is Law & Representation and it kicks off on February 24 in no less a venue than the New York City Council Chamber in City Hall.  It looks like a great series, and I’m particularly interested in the session on March 5: “The Aesthetics of the Contract and the Contract of Aesthetics.”
