Proof is the ninth in an annual series of publications that feature work by the winners of the Architectural League’s annual competition for young architects and designers. This year’s winners demonstrated the complexity of architectural design as both process and product, where speculation and hypothesis lead to subsequent testing, confirming, checking, and rechecking, and arriving at solutions that shape seemingly disparate variables into a coherent and convincing whole.
The winners of the 2007 Young Architects competition—SINGLE speed DESIGN, PRODUCTORA, PARA, UNI, Aranda/Lasch, and ludens—exemplify a new generation of architects and designers who actively probe, provoke, and expand traditional concepts of architectural design and practice.
